The Training department is divided into two sections. The first section is probationary officer training. This section handles all of the training for our new officers during their probationary phase. It consists of both in-class academic work as well as field training. Officers in their probationary phase work exclusively with field training officers.

The second section of the training department consists of membership training. It is their responsibility to coordinate and provide continuing training for all officers on the department. Some of our training officers are certified instructors in different areas. This allows us to conduct our own in-house training with less dependency on outside resources.
